Thank you for a great 2025 season!
It’s YOU!
Anticipation from our side and yours collides each morning as we swing open the gates.
You followed our always changing, ever evolving “rules.”
The 70s had Wayne opening as early as he wanted - “People have places to be!” We picked from dawn until dusk, freezing our own berries well past bedtime.
The 80s and 90s brought little improvements like, oh I don’t know, flags?! (Up ‘til then, it was beautiful chaos.)
The 2000s provided some continuity, selling pre-picked in neighboring towns, trying to get to everyone.
Until Covid.
We all masked, kept the sacred grower (Wayne) away from the everyone, practiced safe distancing, it was different and a little lonely - you were shuffled in and out without the laughter and banter we were used to.
These strange times awakened something in all of us. We found there was a great increase in the need for pick-your-own. People needed to get out, be part of the process, save food for their families and share these experiences. It was a rebirth of sorts and it felt comforting.
It also was a bit scary. This is where we found ourselves selling out in a matter of hours.
Through all this, through all the years, it has been all of YOU who have kept us going. YOU ARE KIND AND PATIENT AND HARD-WORKING. You share stories and compliments, observations, memories, laughter - SO MUCH LAUGHTER.
We cannot thank you enough for joining us on this journey. YOU are remarkable, irreplaceable, beautiful beings (Wayne may love you as much as his beloved berries).
THANK YOU and we’ll see you next year. 🍓
